The First Baptist Church of Dallas

The heart of this well-known religious organization’s downtown campus is a welcoming, public open space that reaches over St. Paul Street with a sweeping, curved-glass sky bridge. The plaza is occupied by a musically choreographed fountain with a 90’-tall cross, serving as the dominant element in the design of the plaza, organizing social areas all around its elliptical perimeter. Regular musical programs, created by Church staff, draw and engage the public. The fountain incorporates a finely detailed, warmed-water baptismal font for public ceremonies.
