A new downtown park for the City of Cary, North Carolina, incorporated a range of water features, including the mechanical restoration of an existing fountain, a coffee shop-adjacent immersive play fountain, a canyon with boulders and flying streams play space, a water feature for dogs and their owners, and a naturalistic rock stream and pond installation organized to manage stormwater surges. All of the water features have place-specific identities while employing contemporary technologies and automatic controls.
