The redevelopment of this mid-century landmark incorporates five new water features which mingle with hotel, high-rise residential and retail uses. The water feature collection includes a pair of cascading pools at the hotel’s Avenue of the Stars entrance, a reflection pool hosting a Jaume Plensa wire sculpture, an interior water-wall, twin courtyard lily ponds, and in the heart of the development’s open space, a triangular water feature reinforcing the environment’s overall tone of energy and elegance. The project’s new architecture is by Pei Cobb Fried, with landscape architecture and public spaces by RIOS.
