Nancy Best Fountain

Klyde Warren Park’s desire for a significant, immersive fountain with a strong regional character to be integrated into the east end of environs was answered by a generous donor. The park-themed fountain is formed into a triangular space defined by diagonal pathways. Polished metal ‘Trees’ enclose dynamic nozzles, providing an iconographic statement and safety. Rows of small-scale ‘Rosebud’ nozzle clusters offer play opportunities for toddlers, while taller ‘Leaf‘geysers draw older participants. The water actions are choreographed with music and theatrical light.
