A sculptural, interactive, musical fountain activates the east end of Klyde Warren Park, in Dallas’ downtown Arts District, ten years after this highly regarded urban park first opened, which inaugurated a new era of community involvement in downtown spaces. The new fountain’s triangular plan incorporates a central composition of three polished stainless steel ‘Trees’ in the establishment of an iconic and meaningful design statement. The Trees enclose and render safe a collection of monumental jets and robotic streams that loft streams of water up to 90 feet high. The water feature is designed to invite players of all ages, with smaller clusters of jets populate the design’s west side, zoning friendly play areas for toddlers and their families. At night, the water feature’s music and water choreographies are further nuanced with changing-color light transformations.
